Position Description:
The Mountain Bike Patrol Team (MBP) will be responsible for providing a safe riding environment for our guests.
Our MBP will assist and educate all guests using our trail system.
Similar to a winter patroller, our MBP Team will also monitor designated trails, have an active presence on the mountain and respond to reported injuries and/or bike mechanical issues.
This role reports to our Director and Assistant Director of Ski Patrol.

June 15th, 2023.

Commitment to assigned work schedule (Beginning of June to the middle of September).
Positive, outgoing attitude and a Team Player! Excellent verbal and written skills.
Required to wear Personal Protective Gear (PPE) while operating a mountain bike or UTV.
Respond and provide medical assistance to all injured guests.
Ability to quickly become familiar and oriented to facilities and terrain Ability to effectively communicate with our guests to educate on Downhill MTB Etiquette and promote safety at all times.
Ability to identify, correct, mitigate and/or mark hazards.
Maintain signage and hazard markings.
Knowledge of Map Applications and versed in using GPA coordinates.
Conduct and record daily trail inspections.
Willingness to progress one's skill set and attend all required trainings.
Knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS) Rotating Dispatch schedule.
Willing to partner with our Risk Manager and be a member of our Incident Investigation Team (IIT).
Complete all applicable forms to ensure proper records are maintained for all incidents.
Support other teams as needed.
Be a Safety Ambassador! Position Requirements:
Proficiency in, and proof of current, valid medical credential of; National Ski Patrol Outdoor Emergency Care, Utah or National EMT-B or above; or other recognized credential and related experience may be accepted by Powder Mountain.
OEC Senior/OEC Instructor (Preferred).
Experienced First Responder.
Experience working in bike industry and/or cycling preferred.
Proven knowledge and experience riding a bike (downhill, cross country, downhill flow trails).
Provide care and treatment of injured guests/team members.
Demonstrate the ability to safely operate an ATV and UTV on resort roads and trails and wear all required PPE.
Familiarity with Lift Evacuation Procedures.
Ability to obtain a clean Motor Vehicle Record and submit to Risk Manager.
Experience as a Powder Mountain Patroller is preferred but not required.
Follow all Powder Mountains rules and policies.
Physical Requirements:
Walk on even/uneven/slippery and unmarked terrain for up to 300 yards uphill.
Climb/descend stairs.
Able to lift 75 pounds and carry 100 yards.
Bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects.
Ability to ride a bike preferred.
Compensation:
Wage based on Patrol Experience Discount on Food and Beverage Bike Provided for the duration of the season (FULL TIME ONLY) Uniform:

Based primarily outside and is exposed to extreme temperatures, sun and wind exposure, inclement weather and high altitudes (9,000 ft+).

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
